WoO's 61-race slate goes to 37 ovals

The World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series today announced a 61-race 2026 schedule to celebrate its milestone 25th season with visits to 37 tracks in 19 states, including eight first-time series ovals and eight others returning after an extended absence.

Once again starting at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla., in January and concluding in November with the World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C., the ’26 campaign will boast approximately $4.9 million in feature purses — an 18 percent increase over 2025 — plus a $1.1 million points fund paying $225,000 to the champion. Every full-field A-main pays a minimum of $10,000-to-win and at least $2,000 for 10th.

“The 2026 season is going to be one for the record books,” series director Steve Francis said in a press release. “We’re excited to bring the biggest stars in Late Model racing to several new tracks as well as a few places that haven’t seen them in a while. The World of Outlaws has seen tremendous growth in recent years and we can’t wait to continue that trajectory next year and beyond.”

Five events will pay at least $40,000-to-win, including $50,000 for the Prairie Dirt Classic at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway and a second consecutive year for a $100,000 check to the winner of the USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis. Other big money shows include the inaugural 57 Special ($57,000-to-win and $5,700-to-start) on May 29-30 at the reopened Mansfield (Ohio) Speedway and $40,000 first prizes for April 30-May 1’s Dairyland Showdown at Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wis., and July 2-4’s NAPA Gopher 50 at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn.

Besides Mansfield, first-time tracks on the schedule with two-day programs include Hendry County Motorsports Park in Clewiston, Fla., which caps the tour’s Speedweeks action on Feb. 20-21; Little River Speedway in Modoc, S.C. (Oct. 23-24); Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Miss. (March 20-21); and 141 Speedway in Maribel, Wis. (June 19-20). New tracks with single events include three Iowa tracks, Oskaloosa's Southern Iowa Speedway, Corning’s Adams County Speedway in Corning, Iowa, and Harlan’s Shelby County Speedway.

Among tracks returning to the WoO slate are Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap. Tenn. (first race since 2021), East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City (2006), Georgetown (Del.) Speedway (2018), Selinsgrove (Pa.) Speedway (2019), Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio (2019), Ogilvie (Minn.) Raceway (2019) and Stateline Speedway in Busti, N.Y. (2023). The circuit also will return to West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells for the first time since 2013, but teams will compete on a new 3/8-mile oval rather than the original 5/8-mile layout.

Series staples include Volusia (Jan. 22-24’s Sunshine Nationals and Feb. 12-14’s DIRTcar Nationals); Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway’s Illini 100 on April 10-11; April 10-11’s Alabama Gang 100 at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Ala.; Oct. 2-3’s Bayou Classic at Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, La.; and Nov. 4-7’s World Finals at Charlotte to close the season.
