Lucas Oil racer on reality TV show
Dirt Late Model racer Carson Ferguson will appear in Fox’s new reality television show premiering noon EST on Jan. 25 titled “Ram: Race For The Seat,” a competition among 15 short-track racers vying for ride opportunities with Kaulig Racing’s newly launched NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series program backed by Dodge’s Ram brand.
Filming for the eight-episode series is believed to have started last fall after Paylor Motorsports team owner Donald Bradsher said the 25-year-old Lincolnton, N.C., driver missed Nov. 6–9’s World Finals and World of Outlaws Late Model Series finale at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C., for “a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
“Super thankful to be able to take part in an opportunity like this! Thank you to Ram Trucks and everyone at Kaulig Racing for putting this together! You won’t want to miss it!” Ferguson wrote in a Facebook post following Friday’s unveiling of the television series. “Thank you to my Paylor Motorsports car owners Donald and Gena Bradsher for allowing me to branch off during November to do this!”
Ferguson, who finished ninth in last season's Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series standings, remains committed to another full Lucas Oil campaign with Bradsher’s Paylor Motorsports team in 2026.
