Busy MSSCS tour ventures to Louisiana
The Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series has set a 19-race schedule among 11 tracks, including a record-high six events scheduled in neighboring Louisiana.
Greenville (Miss.) Speedway and Super Bee Speedway in Chatham, La., are set to host a series-high four races apiece, including a doubleheader October weekend apiece for the tracks.
The lone first-time track on the schedule is Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, La., which joins Super Bee and Sabine Raceway in Many, La., with events outside the tour’s home state.
Two events apiece are set for home-state tracks Hattiesburg Speedway, Whynot Motorsports Park, Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Magnolia’s Pike County Speedway and Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Miss., including the March 7 opener.
Single events are set for Pine Ridge Speedway in Guntown, Miss., and Mitchell’s Motorplex in Perkinston, Miss.
The schedule includes potential additional dates for March 28, Aug. 29 and Sept. 26 with no venues listed.
Barring rainouts, 19 events would mark the Charles Thrash-promoted tour’s busiest schedule since 20 races were completed in 2018.
