The Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series cancelled Saturday's season opener at Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Miss., because of rain and inclement weather.

Series and track officials will attempt to reschedule the $3,000-to-win event, though a new date was not immediately announced.
