Lincoln's FloRacing event rained out
Persistent rain showers eventually halted Thursday’s FloRacing Night in America event at Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway during the night’s heat race action. No makeup date for the $20,000-to-win event was immediately announced.
Mid afternoon and late afternoon showers delayed the start of the program, but time trials for 36 entrants were completed with Hudson O’Neal of Martinsville, Ind., setting fast time with a 12.748-second lap. More rain that hit during the second heat race forced an end to the program.
The rainout ends the FloRacing’s tour of Illinois Speedweek, which continues with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series action on Friday at Farmer City Raceway and Saturday at Fairbury Speedway.
