Hall of Fame honors ALMS participants
Six-time series champion Kris Patterson (pictured) of St. Johns, Mich., and others involved with the Sunoco American Late Model Series are being honored this season with the institution of a new Hall of Fame.
The current Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series, which revived the 1995-2021 ALMS tour and in 2024 merged it with Chris Tilley’s Kentucky-based Iron-Man circuit, announced the inaugural class that will be honored throughout the season.
Along with Patterson, the Class of 2026 includes longtime series sponsor Bazell Race Fuels, Eldora Speedway (and late owner-promoter Earl Baltes), Oakshade Raceway (and the track-owning Henricks family) and longtime series official Roy Faulkner of Columbus, Ind.
Patterson was a 36-time ALMS winner while Eldora (95 races) and Oakshade (84 races) were the most frequently visited tracks during the ALMS era.
