Unable to make repairs after damage from a midweek storm, La Salle (Ill.) Speedway has cancelled July 2’s DIRTcar Summer Nationals. The series date will be taken by Lincoln (Ill.), which lost its event to rain June 21.

According to the series, high winds Wednesday evening damaged the track's electrical infrastructure and repairs can’t be made in time for the Summer Nationals event. Anyone holding a ticket will be refunded and the track plans to have a fireworks show at an event later this season.

The Track Enterprises-promoted Lincoln Speedway settles into Week 4 of the schedule following series events at Tennessee, Arkansas and Missouri. Lincoln has hosted 19 Summer Nationals races with Tyler Erb of New Waverly, Texas, winning 2025’s event.
