Wet forecast dooms NAPA Gopher 50
Facing a wet holiday weekend forecast, the World of Outlaws Late Model Series announced the cancellation of the NAPA Auto Parts Gopher 50 at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn.
The event, originally scheduled with $10,000-to-win prelims on July 2-3 and the $40,000-to-win finale on the Fourth of July, won’t be rescheduled for 2027 but the national tour plans on returning in 2027.
Advance ticket-holders will receive face-value credit on the MyDirtTickets.com account (good for two years) to be used toward any World of Outlaws event available at WorldofOutlaws.com/tix. Refunds can be requested with a July 30 deadline.
Camping refunds are available through July 31; after that, reservations will transfer to the 2027 Gopher 50. For camping refunds, call (507) 346-2342.
The cancellation ends WoO’s Upper Midwest swing with Tuesday’s event at Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minn. Next up for the circuit is July 8’s Rick Briggs Memorial at Stateline Speedway in Busti, N.Y.
