Pair of Iron-Man events migrate to PRP
The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series has moved two events at the newly reopened Portsmouth (Ohio) Raceway Park, the tour announced today, relocating events from Kentucky tracks.
Portsmouth’s Aug. 1 event was originally an Iron-Man race at Rockcastle Speedway in Mount Vernon, Ky., the Oct. 3 race was originally at Mudlick Valley Raceway in Wallingford, Ky. The Jent family that recently purchased the Portsmouth oval also owns Mudlick Valley, which has an abbreviated schedule of just one more 2026 event as the focus turns to Portsmouth.
August’s Jackie Boggs Kids Night pays $5,000-to-win and October’s Fall 40 pays $10,000-to-win.
Rockcastle Speedway said it will switch sanctions to Ultimate Heart of America to maintain its Aug. 1 $10,000-to-win event, the seventh annual Tommy Lanham Memorial.
