What won the race: Series points leader Dustin Mitchell of Pine Level, N.C., captured his tour-leading fourth Steel Block Bandits Late Model Challenge victory Saturday at Lake View Motor Speedway, pocketing $5,000 in the third annual Edwards Family Memorial. The pole-startiing Mitchell took the checkers ahead of 12th-starting Tyler Bare, who was chasing his second straight Bandits victory in the tour’s Lake View debut.

Key notes: Mitchell, who also won the Edwards Family Memorial in 2020, picked up an additional $200 by setting fast time. ... Willie Milliken of Roanoake Rapids, N.C., was returning to action for the first time since suffering Aug. 6 rib injuries at Lake View when his car fell off a jack and briefly trapped him underneath. He scratched from his heat race but rebounded with a runner-up finish in the consolation race to transfer to the main event. ... The series last week added $5,000-to-win races at Beckley (W.Va.) Motor Speedwway on Sept. 10 and Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Va., on Sept. 17.
