Mason Oberkramer celebrates his $5,000 Poplar Bluff victory.
What won the race: Pole-starting Mason Oberkramer of Broseley, Mo., led all 40 laps Friday at Poplar Bluff Motorsports Park to win his second career Comp Cams Super Dirt Series feature. Winning his first series race since July 27, 2019, at Legit Speedway Park, Oberkramer collected $5,000 for his winning efforts.
Key notes: Series points leader Kyle Beard regained the runner-up position on lap 30 and trailed Oberkramer the rest of the way, finishing 0.857 of a second back. ... Billy Moyer Jr. battled Beard for the majority of the race, settling for third. ... Winner of 2021's most recent Comp Cams Series visit to Poplar Bluff, Billy Moyer started and finished fourth. ... Sixth-starting B.J. Robinson rounded-out the top five. ... Hunter Rasdon advanced four positions and finished eighth. ... Sixth-running Logan Martin drew the race's fifth caution on lap 17 and completed only eight more laps before pulling off. ... Friday's feature, the first series race since June 9, was slowed by six separate incidents and lasted 24 minutes, with 13 competitors completing 40 laps; 14 were running at the finish. ... Chris Hawkins scratched.
