What won the race: Overtaking veteran Rod Conley to lead the final seven laps, Seth Daniels of Jackson, Ohio, surged from the eighth starting spot Saturday to capture his first Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series victory in the 21st annual Iron-Man Classic at Atomic Speedway. Daniels won by 2.585 seconds over Conley with Ryan Missler third.

Key notes: Rod Conley led the 11th lap laps 17 through 33 before Daniels passed him shortly after the lap-32 restart. ... R.J. Conley, Rod's younger brother, led the first 10 laps, then again on laps 12-16 but slowed shortly after Rod took the lead. R.J. ended up eighth. ... Jacob Stuhr improved seven positions and rounded out the top 10. ... Five cautions slowed the action on laps four, eight, 18, 23 and 32. ... Fourteen drivers finished on the lead lap in the 40-lap feature that lasted 32 minutes. ... It was the third and final Iron-Man event this season at Atomic.

On the move: Shane Bailey of Grayson, Ky., started 15th and finished sixth.
