What won the race: Executing a perfect last-lap slider by Jake Redetzke out of turn four, third-starting Pat Doar of New Richmond, Wis., beat Redetkze to the line by 0.146 of a second to win Thursday's 52nd annual Silver 1000 at Proctor Speedway. Doar led twice for nine laps (28-35, 40) to secure the $3,000 victory, notching his third career Silver 1000 triumph (2000, '19).

Quotable: “I didn’t even know we were coming to the checkered, I knew it was getting late … I just got lucky,” Doar said. “It’s a lot of fun racing with Jake (Redetzke) for years … I didn’t touch him tonight and it all worked out.
