What won the race: Michael Rouse of Wilson, N.C., led all 40 laps from the pole for a dominant flag-to-flag victory in Saturday's Thanksgiving Thunder Grudge Race at Lake View Motor Speedway. Rouse crossed the line 0.857 of a second ahead of Dan Breuer for the $3,500 Cagle Automotive Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Model Series victory, his second Lake View special and fourth feature win of the season.
Quotable: "We were really good," Rouse said. "We've had four or five weeks here and been working on things pretty hard. I tell you, any time you've got these guys like this behind you, you've really gotta work hard, and it's real critical to be out front."
Key notes: Rouse's other Lake View special was Sept. 6 in the Carolina Clash-sanctioned Edwards Family Memorial, worth $7,500. ... His other two victories came March 22 and Aug. 16 at County Line Raceway in unsanctioned Limiteds. ... Dan Breuer passed Dustin Mitchell for second on the final lap, relegating Mitchell to third. ... Dale Timms finished 15th, clinching the 2025 Blue Ridge Outlaws title. ... Bryan Mullis retired under a lap-25 caution along with Timbo Mangum and Ronnie Long. ... Kendal Tucker saw his night end during a lap-16 yellow flag. ... Michael Batten and Jason Dickerson were eliminated in a lap-nine stoppage. ... The race was slowed by seven cautions and lasted 37 minutes with 13 starters completing 40 laps. ... Ethan Wilson, Brandon Dockery, Brian Strickland, Tony Ayers and Eddie Baggs scratched.
On the move: Kennie Compton Jr. of Bland, Va., started 16th and finished seventh.
