What won the race: Former track champion Jeff Smith of Rocky Face, Ga., pocketed $2,500 at North Georgia Speedway with his first victory on the first-year United Crate Racing Alliance. John Ownbey chased Smith to the checkers in the 40-lap feature.
Key notes: The first-year UCRA makes its second visit to North Georgia. ... Riley Hickman won the tour's April 11 event. ... Hickman is the only two-time winner after six series races, but he is not expected on Saturday.
