Michael Page enjoys his first Chevy Series victory.
What won the race: Michael Page of Douglasville, Ga., won from the pole position at Whynot Motorsports Park for his first victory at the track and on the Chevrolet Performance Series. Page earned $3,000 in the 50-lapper. (Two days after the event, the series elevated William Thomas to first place after disqualifying Michael Page for using unapproved valve springs. )
Key notes: Page finished second the previous night at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Miss. ... Nine starters completed 50 laps. ... The 4-year-old tour made its third trip to Whynot.
