Donald McIntosh (7) battles Cory Hedgecock (23) at Crossville.
What won the race: After a lead-swapping battle for the lead, polesitter Donald McIntosh of Dawsonville, Ga., pulled ahead of fellow front-row starter Mike Marlar of Winfield, Tenn., on lap 28 of 50 and paced the remaining distance for a $5,000 Southern Nationals Bonus Series victory at Crossville Speedway. Marlar and Cory Hedgecock both challenged McIntosh in the first series event at Crossville.
Quotable: "Man, that was something. I can't thank (Marlar) enough for racing me clean," McIntosh said. "I'm green on those slide jobs; that's something I've never had the opportunity to do. But man, what an awesome night."
Key notes: McIntosh scored his third special event victory of the season. ... He and Marlar traded multiple slide jobs while Hedgecock made noise on a pair of restarts in the second half of the race. ... The race was slowed by three cautions. ... A yellow flag flew on lap 19 when fourth-running Robby Moses slowed on the racetrack. ... Jason Welshan stopped on the track to draw a caution on lap 25. ... The final yellow flag waved on lap 35 when fifth-running Skylar Marlar spun. ... The race was originally scheduled for May 20 but moved back a day by weather.
