Steve Drake enjoys victory lane after his 10th series victory.
What won the race: Two-time series champion Steve Drake of San Luis Obispo, Calif., earned $3,000 Sunday at Santa Maria Raceway for capturing the weekend finale of the track's annual Nationals. Clay Daly finished second, while Saturday's feature winner Cody Laney was third.
Key notes: Drake notched his 10th career series victory, one shy of all-time series leader Bobby Hogge IV. ... Drake's victory was his first on the series since the second-to-last series event in 2014 at Canyon Speedway in Peoria, Ariz. ... The series will now go on hiatus until the Fourth of July weekend.
