What won the race: John Waters of Whitesville, N.Y., led all 20 laps of the RUSH Late Model tour event at Expo Speedway from his pole starting position to pick up his series leading third victory of the season. His victory at the 5/8-mile oval paid $1,500.
Quotable: "This is the third time I've been here and I was nervous. We haven't had any luck before between motor problems and hitting a yuke tire. I guess we got the bad luck out of the way as we had a flat tire on the hauler coming here, which got us here late," Waters said. "I was nervous about Will (Thomas) alongside me. He's a wheelman and can drive anything so I just wanted to hit my marks."
Key notes: Waters notched his first RUSH touring victory in the United States; his previous victories have been in Canada. ... Will Thomas III ran second most of the way, but Bryce Davis slipped by on the final lap to get the runner-up spot. ... The event was slowed by a single lap-19 caution for Mike Pegher Jr. who slowed on the backstretch while running fourth.
Winner's sponsors: Waters drives a Dale LeBarron-owned car sponsored by Atkins Appraisal, Troupscreek Heating, Fox Shocks, Fastline Performance, Renegade Forestry Management, Close Racing Supply and Sunoco/Insinger Performance Race Fuels.
Car count: 14
