What won the race: Jumping to an early lead, Michael Lake of Uniontown, Pa., bested Russell Erwin of Beaverdam, Va., for a $5,000 victory in Elkins Raceway's Skidmore Memorial.
Key notes: Just 15 years old, Lake registered the biggest win of his young Dirt Late Model career. ... The race marked the first for STARS since the tour was renamed while blending the Buckeye Late Model Dirt Week and AMRA-STARS tour. ... The Skidmore Memorial capped a doubleheader weekend; third-place finisher Tim Senic was the winner of Friday's event.
