What won the race: Taking advantage of a scrape between leaders Ashton Winger and Jason Hiett, Cory Hedgecock of Loudon, Tenn., grabbed an early lead and went on to build a dominant lead en route to his second NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series victory of the season. Hedgecock, who finished 4.268 seconds in front of Adam Cummings of Odenville, Ala., earned $2,500 for his win.
Key notes: Hedgecock, who notched his eighth overall victory of the season, previously won in NeSmith action at Greenville (Miss.) Speedway. ... Twelve of the 16 cars running at the finish completed all 50 laps. … Polesitter Ashton Winger, who had won five straight races at Senoia (Ga.) Speedway, completed only seven laps. ...
