What won the race: Overtaking leader Brandon Brzozowski on lap 12, Jim Moon picked up his second Southern Texas Late Model Series victory of the season, winning at Battleground Race Park in Highlands, Texas. The win, worth $800, was Moon’s second in as many series races.
Key notes: Brzozowski took the lead from the outside front row on the first lap and held the point until lap 12 when Moon took over. … Moon, a Midwestern native who has relocated to Texas, also won April 15 at Gator Motorplex in Willis, Texas.
