Devin Moran waves in victory lane after his $5,000 victory.
What won the race: Completing a clean sweep after setting the quick time and winning his heat race, polesitter Devin Moran of Dresden, Ohio, led all the way for his second Midway Speedway victory of the season, collecting $5,000 in the King of Hillbilly Hill. R.J. Conley of Wheelersburg, Ohio, and Steve Casebolt of Richmond, Ind., rounded out of the podium.
Quotable: "The track does have so much banking that up top you're kinda just married to the wall, but it makes for exciting racing and cool slide jobs and stuff," said Moran. "I'm glad to come back here and get another win and get another win for Ty Twarog and Donnie Moran Racing. It's always a blast to come out here and run good when you're close to home."
Key notes: Moran previously earned $2,000 by winning a Jim Dunn Memorial qualifier at the track on April 9 … The rescheduling of Friday's World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series program at Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tenn., allowed Moran, a series regular, to enter his home-state event. ... Jared Miley lost fuel pressure while running second in the feature's later stages; he finished 10th. ... Midway hosts the $12,000-to-win Jim Dunn Memorial on June 18.
Winner's sponsors: Moran’s Rocket Chassis is sponsored by Tye Twarog Racing, Tommy Pope Conoruction, DMR Driving School, Keyser Mfg. Accu-Force Shock & Dynos, Dow Cameron Oil and Gas, All About Wraps, Kendrick Excavating and Eddie’s.
