What won the race: Polesitter T.J. Reaid of Acworth, Ga., overtook Ray Cook of Brasstown, N.C., on the 36th lap and grabbed a $5,000 victory at Smoky Mountain Speedway's Harvest Festival. Reaid's victory came in a race co-sanctioned by the Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series and Iron-Man Series.

Quotable: “To win this race by passing Ray, I’m telling ya it means a lot,” winner T.J. Reaid said. “I can remember him racing against my dad years ago, and he’s one of those people in the sport that has a lot of respect, and there’s many in the sport who look up to him. I learned a lot just riding behind him, and watching him for a few laps before we were able to make the pass.”

Key notes: Reaid notched his first victory on both series. ... Cook moved up to start outside the front row after scheduled front-row starter Donald McIntosh pitted before the race's initial green flag with mechanical trouble. ... McIntosh was able to make repairs and tag the rear of the field, however, after an opening-lap crash that saw Ryan King hit the turn-one wall and collect several drivers, ending the race for King, David Crabtree, Kenny Collins, Travis Greer and James Roulette. McIntosh rallied to finish fourth. ... Cook was hampered by an issue that disabled his car's left-rear shock for most of the race, breaking "a bolt that costs about $1.50," he said. ... The Slingin' Dirt for Vicki event honored long-time fan and track supporter Vicki Duck of Rutledge, Tenn. who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014 but still manages to attend races every weekend to cheer on Billy Ogle Jr.

On the move: Donald McIntosh of Dawsonville, Ga., rallied from the rear of the field to finish fourth.
