Billy Moyer takes the checkers for his $7,500 victory at Jackson.
What won the race: Leading the final three laps Saturday after race-long leader Jason Rauen smashed into a stalled car in turn one, Billy Moyer of Batesville, Ark., picked up a $7,500 victory in Jackson Motor Speedway's All-American 60. Ninth-starting Brian Rickman ended up second as Rauen and contender David Breazeale were eliminated in the lap-58 incident; no injuries were reported.
Quotable: "I seen (Jon Mitchell) have trouble when I came off (turn four) there and I was kind of heading to the bottom and let off, but I guess those other guys didn't see him," winner Billy Moyer said. "That could've been bad."
Key notes: Polesitter and overall fast qualifier Jason Rauen of Farley, Iowa, was feeling heavy pressure from Moyer when he smashed Jon Mitchell's car sitting still in turn one. ... Rauen ended up 12th after leading virtually all the way on a trickly, ripply surface. ... David Breazeale's car suffered heavy damage along with Mitchell and Rauen in the lap-58 wreck while Moyer slipped by unscathed in the low groove. ... Several cautions slowed the race. ... Heat winner and outside front-row starter Billy Moyer Jr. got banged up on the first lap; he slowed for a lap-19 caution and ended up 16th. … After starting on the last row, Dwight Falcon climbed 13 spots to finish ninth and Shelby Sheedy improved 10 spots to 11th. … The speedway raised $3,883 for Jackson's Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children. ... Cliff Williams won the Crate Late Model feature.
