What won the race: Reigning series champion John Cornell of Phoenix, Ariz., won his second SWDRA races of the season and 10th of his career Saturday at Canyon Speedway Park. Cornell took the checkers ahead of Brad Williams and his Cornell's teammate, Craig Parker.
Key notes: Cornell previously won the series opener on Feb. 17 at Central Arizona Speedway. ... Four drivers completed the 30-lap distance. ... Kelly Johnson scratched from the main event because of mechanical problems. ... A Central Arizona practice night has been scheduled for March 23, the night before the next SWDRA event in Casa Grande.
