John Cornell tunes up before collecting his fifth SWDRA victory.
What won the race: Reigning SWDRA champion John Cornell of Phoenix, Ariz., clicked off his fifth victory in six Southwest Dirt Racing Association races this season Saturday at Canyon Speedway Park, taking the checkers in the 30-lap feature ahead of teammate Craig Parker.
Key notes: Cornell led every lap of the A-main to continue padding his points lead. ... Cornell registered his second SWDRA victory of 2018 at Canyon. He also has three triumpsh at Central Arizona Speedway in Casa Grande.
