Ethan Hunter won Saturday's UCRA feature at Fort Payne.
What won the race: Inheriting the lead on lap 30 when race-long leader Anthony White blew a right rear tire, outside front row starter Ethan Hunter of Tiger, Ga., led the final distance of the 40-lapper to earn a $2,000 UCRA victory at Fort Payne Speedway. Hunter beat 14-year-old Sam Seawright to the checkers.
Quotable: "I hated that for Tony," said Hunter. “I’ve lost races like that before, so I know where he's at."
Key notes: Eleven of the 14 starters finished the race, with eight completing all 40 laps. ... The UCRA tour made its second of two scheduled races at Fort Payne this season.
