Michael Norris won his first trip to Stateline Speedway.
What won the race: Overtaking polesitter Wyatt Scott of Garland, Pa., late in the 62-lap feature, second-starting Michael Norris of Sarver, Pa., scored a $6,200 victory in Stateline Speedway's 62nd annual Anniversary Race. Scott settled for second (1.883 seconds behind Norris) with Chub Frank in third.
Key notes: Norris won his his Stateline debut. ... He adds another victory to his already impressive 2018 campaign that includes his first career World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series victory at his home Lernerville Speedway and a July 14 Ultimate Northeast Series triumph at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial, Pa. … Runner-up Wyatt Scott started on the pole and led the first eight laps before Dave Hess Jr. took command. ... Hess scraped the frontstretch wall on lap 44, handing the lead back to Scott with Norris turning up the heat and taking commnad about a dozen laps later. ... Retired drivers Dick Barton and Ron Davies were inducted into the Stateline Speedway Hall of Fame at intermission.
