What won the race: Taking the lead when Tyler Carpenter jumped the cushion in turn two on the second lap, polesitter R.J. Conley of Wheelersburg, Ohio, led the final 39 circuits of the Buckeye Late Model Dirt Week event at Brushcreek Motorsports Complex. Conley held off a last-lap challenge from second-starting Jared Hawkins to pick up a $3,000 payday.
Key notes: R.J. Conley had a comfortable lead in the waning laps until he made contact with a lapped car as he took the white flag, allowing Jared Hawkins to close the gap significantly. … Conley's win was his second of the Buckeye Late Model Dirt Week with the first coming at Moler Raceway Park last week. ... Tyler Carpenter gave up the third position just before the halfway mark when he slowed in turn three with a plume of smoke trailing from his No. 28. … Tim Dohm was running sixth when he almost when over the backstretch.
