Dan Breuer (second from left) won his first-ever Blue Ridge Outlaws race.
What won the race: Polesitter Dan Breuer of Troutman, N.C., led all 25 laps at East Lincoln Speedway to win his first career Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Model Series race. Breuer topped fellow front-row starter Daniel Tucker of Greensboro, N.C., to pick up a $1,200 victory.
Quotable: “It was one of the better tracks I’ve been on in awhile,” said Breuer. “It was racey and I’m just the guy that was lucky enough to have this car because you could’ve put anybody in that thing and they would’ve strolled away. I really appreciate the ride for the weekend.”
Key notes: The first four drivers finished where they started. ... The series made its third visit to East Lincoln. ... Kenny Compton Jr. and Ricky Weeks picked up series wins at East Lincoln earlier this season.
On the move: Jason Womack of Stanley, N.C., finished seventh after starting 10th.
