What won the race: Reclaiming the lead from Nick Hoffman, eighth-starting Kyle Bronson of Brandon, Fla., won Saturday’s Durrence Layne Winter Shootout Series Bubba Army Winternationals finale at Bubba Raceway Park for an unprecedented third straight Chevrolet Performance World Championship victory. Bronson finished .822 of a second ahead of 17th-starting Ashton Winger to claim to the win worth $10,000.

Quotable: "I had to run a little harder than I wanted to early in the race," Bronson said. "And (Nick) Hoffman got up there, on the outside with a good run on me. Usually it’s me pounding the cushion up top and Hoffman running right around the bottom. Tonight we reversed roles.”

Key notes: Bronson was also the winner of Thursday's weekend opener. After winning two modified events at his home East Bay Raceway Park back in February, he now has four wins on his 2019 campaign. ... There were five lead changes. … Hoffman, of Mooresville, N.C., slipped to seventh after leading midway through the 100-lapper. The modified standout was the winner of Friday's $2,000-to-win event. … … Tyler Clem of Reddick, Fla., led early but fell back to finish 15th after colliding with Clay Harris of Juniper, Fla. ... Polesiitter Jensen Ford of Piney Flats, Tenn., completed only five laps after making contact with an infield tire. ... After running as high as third, defending series champion Jimmy Elliott of Cleveland, Tenn., managed just 14 laps and finished 24th. ... The final caution fell on lap 93 when Devin Dixon stalled in turn two, setting up a tight battle between Bronson and Winger at the finish. ... Eleven cars finished the race, with seven completing all 100 circuits. … Fourteenth-starting Walker Arthur raced into the top five, but the Virginian's solid run ended in mechanical failure on lap 57. ...
