What won the race: Taking advantage of lapped traffic in the race's final moments, Jason Covert of York Haven, Pa., slipped by pole-starting Dylan Yoder for the lead coming to the white flag and went on to a $3,000 win in Saturday's 30-lap Zimmer's United Late Model Series opener at Port Royal Speedway. Yoder, who led the race's first 28 laps, settled for second, 1.114 seconds behind Covert.

Key notes: The fifth-starting Covert's first triumph of 2019 was the second of his career in ULMS action. His previous win also came at Port Royal, in last year's tour opener. ...
