What won the race: Brad Looney of Republic, Mo., outran 16th-starting Brandon Maggard in Saturday's Malvern Bank Cash Money Super Dirt Series season opener at Springfield Raceway. He pocketed $1,000. Cole Wells finished third.
Key notes: The win marked Looney's second career Malvern Bank Cash Money Super Dirt Series victory. His previous win came at Springfield at September's Midwest Sheet Metal Showdown 100. ... Fifteen of 22 starters were running at the finish; Kylan Garner was disqualified after finishing 17th. … Two attempts to get the tour's season underway in March were rained out. … It’s the fifth time that the second-year series has visited Springfield. ...
