What won the race: Second-starting Matthew Nance of Ronda, N.C., passed leader Ricky Weeks on a restart and went on to complete a weekend sweep of Blue Ridge Outlaws action. Nance won his third series race of the Memorial Day weekend and sixth of the season while earning $1,000. Bryson Harper finished second while Weeks was disqualified for unsportsmanlike conduct after the race.
Quotable: “When he opened up the door right there on that restart I knew when he opened up the door I was going for it,” said Nance. “He opened it up and I dove it off in there. We made a little contact down here in (turns) three and four and he hit me in (the back). As far as I’m concerned that was clean racing. … He had a better car than we did, but we made it happen.”
Key notes: Nance has four straight Blue Ridge victories and five overall. ... Harris Speedway hosted the Blue Ridge Outlaws for the tour’s final night of a weekend tripleheader. … It was the first of four visits to Harris this season; the series returns July 6, Sept. 1 and Sept. 28.
