What won the race: Continuing his mastery of Midwest Big 10 Series action at Macon Speedway, Ryan Unzicker of El Paso, Ill., won flag-to-flag Monday in the high-banked, fifth-mile oval's 50-lap feature. The $1,500 triumph marked the fifth consecutive year that Unzicker has won a Big 10 event at Macon.
Key notes: Unzicker crossed the finish line ahead of runner-up Rusty Schlenk, who won a Big 10 feature at Macon in 2018. ... All five of Unzicker's Big 10 Series wins have come at Macon. ... After the tour’s event at Spoon River Speedway in Banner, Ill., was rained out on Sunday, Macon became the lone Big 10 race of the Memorial Day weekend. … Sixteen of 19 starters were running at the finish.
On the move: Brian Shirley of Chatham, Ill., started ninth and finished fourth.
