Wyatt Scott (X) battles Doug Eck (20) en route to victory at Bradford.
What won the race: Polesitter Wyatt Scott of Garland, Pa., outdueled fellow front-row starter Doug Eck, then held off a late charge from his father David Scott on Father's Day at Bradford Speedway for his first career Zimmer's United Late Model Series victory. The tour's leading rookie won by a nose to earn $2,500 at the quarter-mlie oval in front of a packed grandstand.
Key notes: Greg Oakes took the third spot from Doug Eck on the final lap. ... ULMS ran its second event of the coronavirus-delayed season. … Mike Pegher Jr. was a no-show after weekend engine problems. ... Reigning tour champion Max Blair has elected not to follow the series this season. ... Bradford was originally scheduled to follow a Saturday event at Woodhull (N.Y.) Raceway, but that was removed from the series schedule. ... Series director Chris Zuver announced that despite several cancellations, he hopes to maintain at least a 15-race series and will pay $5,000 to the points champion, paying back 10 places in the standings.
Winner's sponsors: Wyatt Scott's Rocket Chassis is sponsored by Tri-County Collision, Genesis Shocks and 421 Motorsports.
