What won the race: Second-starting Chase Allen of Midlothian, Texas, raced to his second straight DFW Local Late Model Series victory Saturday night at Southern Oklahoma Speedway, earning $1,000 in topping polesitter Bo Day and fourth-starting Sean Jones at the 3/8-mile oval.
Key notes: Saturday's event was the third of the season on the first-year Crate Late Model tour. ... Allen's previous win came on June 27 at Superbowl Speedway, Greenville, Texas. ... Patrik Daniel of Wills Point, Texas, won the series opener at Heart O' Texas Speedway in Waco, Texas on June 12. Daniel was fourth in Saturday's race at Southern Oklahoma.
