Key notes: McDowell earned his first career Iron-Man Series victory, cruising to the win by 2.697 seconds over McIntosh. ... The 40-lap feature was slowed by one caution flag on lap two, when Pearson Lee Williams of Troutman, N.C., hit the wall in the second turn and ended his night, relegating him to finish 13th. ... Only the top seven finishers completed all 40 laps. ... Cory Hedgecock of Loudon, Tenn., finished third and remains the tour’s only repeat winner through seven events this season.
