What won the race: Michael Page of Douglasville, Ga., led all 50 laps Friday at Boyd’s Speedway to capture his sixth career Southern All Star Racing Series victory. Page took the checkers 1.463 seconds ahead of runner-up Dale McDowell, who started eighth.
Key notes: Page's victory was his first on the series away from Senoia (Ga.) Raceway or Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Ala. ... Eleven of 24 starters completed 50 l;aps and 15 were running at the finish. ... A $200 bonus was posted for the highest finishing steel-head, spec motor or 525 crate engine courtesy of Tucker’s Mobile Home Service and Boswell’s Harley Davidson. ... The race marked the 11th time the series has visiting Boyd’s but the first time since 2014, when current Boyd’s promoter Riley Hickman of Ooltewah, Tenn., won. … Boyd’s Speedway (then called Tennessee-Georgia Raceway) was on the Southern All Star schedule in ’83, the tour’s inaugural season.
