Kyle Hardy picked up a $3,000 paycheck at Dog Hollow.
What won the race: Continuing his prolific 2021 campaign, Kyle Hardy of Stephens City, Va., banked a $3,000 check for capturing Friday night's 30-lap PACE Performance RUSH Racing Series feature at Dog Hollow Speedway. The young talent passed Jeremy Wonderling for the lead on lap 11 and went on to beat veteran Chub Frank to the finish line.
Key notes: The fourth-starting Hardy registered his fifth triumph in eight RUSH events this season. ... Frank was the runner-up driving his own familiar No. 1* machine. ... Jeremy Wonderling placed third after leading laps 1-10, falling short of sweeping the program after setting fast time and winning his heat and the dash to earn the pole position for the feature. ... Fifth-place finisher Max Blair won the companion Super Late Model feature to pick up a $2,500 prize. ... The start of the program was delayed two hous by a late-afternoon downpour. ... The Crate Late Model tour made its lone stop this season at Dog Hollow before heading to Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial, Pa., on Saturday for the second half of a holiday weekend doubleheader.
On the move: Justin Kann of Huntingdon, Pa., started 14th and finished eighth.
Winner's sponsors: Hardy's Rocket Chassis is sponsored by Ingram Race Engines, Sommey Lacey Racing, American Paint Co., Cline Construction, Anthony's Pizza, Auto Glass Experts, Xceptional Wildlife and Cluster Communication.
