What won the race: Fast qualifier and polesitter Dustin Mitchell of Pine Level, N.C, raced to his sixth Fast Unified Engine Late Model Series victory Saturday at Lake View Motor Speedway over Banjo Duke and Willie Milliken. After overtaking early leader Russell Erwin, Mitchell captured the $2,500 payday while Erwin retired midrace.
Key notes: Series point leader Christian Thomas of Wake Forest, N.C., retired on the eighth circuit with a broken driveshaft. ... Daniel Tucker was among other early retirees. … The FUEL series made its third-ever trip to Lake View and second of 2021.
