Tyler Bare earned $10,000 in the series finale at Fayetteville.
What won the race: Eleventh-starting Tyler Bare of Rockbridge Baths, Va., worked his way to the lead on lap 54 and never looked back Saturday, winning the $10,000 eighth annual Cash Money 100 feature at Fayetteville Motor Speedway. It was his second victory with the Steel Block Bandits Dirt Late Model Challenge Series.
Quotable: “Man this thing was perfect tonight, we were good from the time we unloaded then at the break I knew we were in good shape” Bare said. “My dad has helped me learn how to race these long races and race in the black and tonight that was a big help. Daulton (Wilson) came up beside me after I passed him and told me my tires were in good shape and I appreciate that, that’s the kind of stuff a professional does, I owe him one.”
Key notes: Last week's series winner at County Line (N.C.) Raceway, Michael Rouse of Wilson, N.C., led the first 12 laps and finished 0.546 of a second back. ... Derick Quade advanced seven positions and finished third after rebounding from a solo spin midrace. ... Polesitter Willie Milliken finished fourth. ... Steel Block Bandits series points leader Dustin Mitchell lost two positions and completed the top five. ... Chris Blackwell gained seven spots and finished ninth. ... Brad Rigdon advanced nine spots and finished 11th. ... Defending Cash Money 100 event winner Daulton Wilson led laps 13-53 at his home track before fading to finish 12th. ... Saturday's feature, the season finale for the Steel Block Bandits Dirt Late Model Challenge Series, was slowed by 12 cautions and lasted nearly one hour and 30 minutes; 11 drivers completed 100 laps.
On the move: Tyler Bare of Rockbridge Baths, Va., started 11th and finished first.
