Gregg Satterlee heads to victory at Lernerville Speedway.
What won the race: Seventh-starting Gregg Satterlee of Indiana Pa., took the lead on lap 14 and never looked back, pacing the final 17 circuits at Lernerville Speedway to capture Friday's $4,000 Willie and Conda McConnell Memorial feature. Satterlee notched his 19th career Jay's Automotive United Late Model Series victory and his second consecutive McConnell Memorial triumph.
Quotable: “It’s a good win for us. We’ve not been getting to race a lot this year with all the rain, but we tried a few things tonight," winner Gregg Satterlee said. "The racetrack tonight seemed a lot like Firecracker 100 conditions and I’m sure everyone knows that’s not our sweet spot, but we tried some new things tonight and it went in the right direction, so hopefully when we come back in June we got something for them.”
Key notes: Fifth-starting Alex Ferree moved into the runner-up position on lap 21 and finished 1.044 seconds back. ... Chub Frank led laps three through 13 before settling for third. ... A week after winning $8,700 at Bedford Speedway aboard his new Rocket Chassis, Mason Zeigler advanced seven positions and finished fourth. ... Dylan Yoder and Tyler Emory each gained seven spots, finishing fifth and ninth. ... Lernerville track points leader Tyler Dietz finished sixth. ... Doug Drown led the first two laps before fading to finish seventh. ... Colton Flinner started 14th and finished eighth. ... Polesitter Dylan Cecce retired early, finishing 24th. ... Among drivers failing to make the feature lineup: Doug Eck, Bob Wearing Jr., Ken Schaltenbrand, Gary Lyle and Dave Hess Jr.. ... Friday's feature, the first of three scheduled ULMS Series stops at Lernerville this season, was slowed by four cautions and lasted 25 minutes.
On the move: Kyle Lukon of Burgettstown, Pa., started 20th and finished 10th.
