What won the race: Winning his third special event of the season at Winchester Speedway, pole-starting Kyle Hardy of Stephens City, Va., rolled to the $5,015 victory in Saturday’s Junior Boone Memorial at the 3/8-mile oval. Hardy won over third-starting Mark Pettyjohn and seventh-starting Keith Jackson.
Key notes: Hardy swept all three of Winchester's Super Late Model special events after picking up $9,191 in June's Jimmy Spence Memorial and May’s $3,000-to-win Curt Hershey Memorial. By winning, Hardy secured a provisional starting spot in Sunday’s Frank Sagi Tribute at Hagerstown (Md.) Speedway. … Jonathan DeHaven advanced three positions and finished seventh. ...
