Justin Zeitner won Wednesday's $4,000 Tri-State Series nightcap at Huset's.
What won the race: Pole-starting Justin Zeitner of Malvern, Iowa, led all but one lap to wins Wednesday's Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Series nightcap at Huset's Speedway worth $4,000. Zeitner, who notched his 17th career Tri-State Series victory and his third at Huset's, held off Jesse Sobbing throughout the 30-lap feature.
Key notes: Third-starting Jesse Sobbing, of Malvern, Iowa, led one circuit on a lap-12 restart before giving way to Zeitner and finishing 1.059 seconds back. ... Eleventh-starting Jesse Glenz moved steadily through the field and into third place on lap 23, rounding-out the podium. ... After retiring while running second in the night's first race, seventh-starting Tad Pospisil advanced three positions and finished fourth. ... The Winner of the $6,000 rain-postponed Ben Nothdurft Memorial earlier in the evening, second-starting Cole Searing faded to finish fifth. ... After advancing 15 positions in the night's first main event, Shane DeMey gained seven spots and finished 11th. ... Wednesday's second Tri-State event of the day was slowed by two cautions and lasted 13 minutes, with 18 competitors completing 30 laps; 22 drivers were running at the finish. ... Wednesday's Tri-State Late Model Series events preceded the Lucas Oil Series-sanctioned 13th annual Silver Dollar Nationals, which runs Thursday-Saturday at Huset's.
