What won the race: Gary Brown Jr. of Brandon, S.D., led all 25 laps from the pole to win Friday's $1,500 feature on the Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Series at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa. Brown topped Cole Searing of Huron, S.D., by 0.429 of a second.
Key notes: Brown earned his third Tri-State victory of the season during the tour’s second and final stop at Rapid Speedway; it was his 12th career series triumph. … Winner of May's series visit to Rapid, Searing, of Huron, S.D., trailed Brown the entire distance. … Blair Nothdurft moved into third on lap 16 and rounded-out the podium. … Four-time series winner at his home track, Nate Beyenhof ran as high as third before being overtaken by Nothdurft and settling for fourth. … Shane DeMey moved into fifth on lap 19 and completed the top five. … Friday’s 33-minute feature was slowed by two separate incidents, including a 15-minute red flag for a multicar incident on lap six. … Eleven drivers completed 25 laps and 13 were running at the finish.
