Cole Searing takes the checkers at Park Jefferson Speedway.
What won the race: Taking advantage of a lap-18 restart, seventh-starting Cole Searing of Huron, S.D., threw a powerful slider into turn three, fought off a crossover attempt from Blair Nothdurft and led the final eight laps to win Saturday's $1,500 Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Late Model Series stop at Park Jefferson Speedway. Searing scored his fourth series win of the season and the sixth of his career.
Key notes: Renner, S.D.'s Nothdurft, the winner of Friday's $1,500 weekend opener at Wagner Speedway, advanced from the third starting spot to lead laps 7-17 before being overtaken by Searing on the late-race restart and finishing 1.844 seconds back. ... Jordan Heiman ran as high as second before getting passed by Searing and settling for third. ... Eighth-starting Nick Beyenhof finished fifth after losing fourth to Gary Brown Jr. on lap 21. ... Luke Sathoff led the first six laps from the pole before fading to finish seventh. ... Benjmain Chukuske advanced six positions and finished ninth. ... Saturday's 25-lap feature was slowed by five cautions and lasted 27 minutes, with 11 drivers completing the distance and 19 running at the finish.
On the move: Shane DeMey of Dennison, Iowa, started 16th and finished sixth.
