What won the race: Second-starting Jeremy Shaw of Millport, Ala., used an outside move to take the point on lap two and never looked back in winning Sunday's rough and tumble $5,000 Comp Cams Super Dirt Series stop at Magnolia Motor Speedway. Shaw captured his first career series win and returned to Magnolia's victory lane for the first time since March 26, 2022, when he earned his first career Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series triumph.

Quotable: “Man I don’t even know what to say, this is not my kind of racetrack,” Shaw said. “I like it slick and slow and before we started tonight, I told my car owner (Jason Steele), I was like ‘Look, I’m just gonna try to stay out of the way’. We weren’t really any good last week, we hit on something tonight, kinda trying to get ready for the big race coming up in a couple weeks.”

Key notes: Eleventh-starting Evan Ellis took second on lap 26 and finished 2.688 seconds behind the winner. ... Pole-starting Brian Rickman slid high in turn three on the first lap and could never rebounded, settling for third. ... Third-starting B.J. Robinson led the first lap before giving way to Shaw and fading to finish fourth. ... Kyle Beard improved 10 positions and finished seventh. ... Jarret Stuckey gained nine spots and finished ninth. ... Magnolia's track surface was uncharacteristically rough after two consecutive days of heavy rain, creating challenges for many drivers. Third-running Dalton Cook drew the race's first red flag on lap four when his left-front tire climbed the infield berm at turn-two exit, lifting the nose of his car and causing him to flip; while unhurt, Cook was unable to continue. ... In a nearly identical incident on lap 13, fourth-running Braden Mitchell also went for a wild ride at the exit of two, flipping several more times than Cook; Mitchell wasn't hurt. ... Cook's rollover took 10 minutes for cleanup, while Mitchell's stoppage lasted 20 minutes, as track officials moved the infield tires outside the berm; drivers were also allowed a resupply of tearoffs during the lengthy delay. ...
