What won the race: Sixth-starting Dustin Mitchell of Pine Level, N.C., marched to the lead by lap 22 and paced the rest of Saturday night's 40-lap Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series feature at County Line Raceway. Mitchell's $5,000 payday is his seventh career Carolina Clash triumph and second at County Line (2021).
Key notes: Fourth-starting Michael Rouse reclaimed the runner-up spot for good on lap 23 and trailed Mitchell the final 18 laps, finishing 1.353 seconds back. ... Second-starting Steve Banal led the opening 21 laps before giving way to Mitchell at slipping to fourth. ... Ben Watkins overcame a poor qualifying run and climbed from 18th to ninth. ... Teenager Beckham Malone improved 10 positions and finished 11th. ... Polesitter Matthew Bissette was the race's first retiree after calling it a night on the second lap. ...
